This time jump adds a new dimension to Pine's character.Pine's quiet and orderly life is shaken when he accidentally encounters Richard Roper, a long-time mercenary believed to be dead.
This event sets off a series of incidents that lead to a fierce confrontation with a new character, a Colombian businessman named Teddy Dos Santos (Diego Calva).
Pine must return to the dangerous battlefield of espionage.Pine's new mission takes him to Colombia, where he meets Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone), a businesswoman forced to help him infiltrate Teddy Dos Santos' arms operation.
This season initially featured a flashback of Angela Burr (Olivia Colman) identifying Roper's body four years after the first season, and even Pine saw it.
However, at the end of the third episode, it was revealed that Roper was still alive and had met with Teddy Dos Santos' associates, adding another layer of complexity to the storyline.
