This first trailer is expected to provide an early glimpse into the storyline and character development nearly four years after the second season concluded in February 2022.
This latest season will bring significant changes, including a five-year time jump that will place the characters in adulthood.
Release Date and First Teaser
After a long wait, Euphoria Season 3 finally has a confirmed release window: April 2026 on HBO Max.
The nearly four-year gap since the second season concluded in February 2022.
The culmination of the long wait will arrive on January 14, 2026, with the release of the official trailer for Euphoria Season 3.
Ahead of the full trailer, HBO released a promotional featurette "Coming in 2026," which includes a brief preview of the show.
Early footage from Euphoria Season 3 was also shown in the HBO 2026 teaser.
One of the most eye-catching scenes was Zendaya's performance as Rue Bennett on the dance floor, hinting at the emotional moments to come.
Filming for the third season finally began in February 2025 and successfully wrapped in November of that year.
The busy schedules of the main cast, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi, who have become major stars in Hollywood, also contributed to the delay.

5-Year Time Jump: A New Chapter for the Characters
One of the most significant changes in Euphoria Season 3 is the five-year time jump after the events of the second season.
This decision will bring the characters into a new phase of adulthood, away from the high school environment.
Sam Levinson explained that "five years felt like a natural timeline because if they were in college, they would have graduated by then."
This indicates that the characters will face more complex challenges and life dynamics as young adults.
This time jump also has the potential to mitigate some of the criticism surrounding the controversial depiction of teenagers in previous seasons.
With more mature characters, the series can explore more mature and relevant themes.
The Main Characters' Stories in a New Chapter
With a five-year time jump, each main character will find themselves in a very different situation:
- Rue Bennett (Zendaya): Will be found south of the border in Mexico, in debt to Laurie, and trying to find innovative ways to pay it off. Zendaya herself expressed her desire to explore Rue's journey to recovery.
- Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi): Will be engaged and living in the suburbs. Cassie is described as addicted to social media and envious of her high school friends' lives. Sam Levinson confirmed that Cassie and Nate will marry, and it will be "a night to remember."
- Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer): Will be in art school, extremely nervous about her career as a painter, and trying to avoid responsibility.
- Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie): Will be working in Hollywood at a talent agency for a manager, with her own "side hustles."
- Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow): Will be an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone.
- Ali Muhammad (Colman Domingo): The character of Ali, Rue's mentor, will get a deeper backstory, allowing viewers to understand his origins.
