"I can confirm that there will be a third season. We always constructed this one at the beginning of a twelve episode story. It gave us greater scope, in terms of imagining where the story might go, knowing that we had another story come."
Official Confirmation and Development
Director Georgi Banks-Davies also revealed that a third season had always been part of the series' development plans.
David Farr, the writer who successfully directed the second season, is currently in the early stages of writing the script for the continuation of the story.
Hiddleston explained that although the third season of The Night Manager has not yet entered official pre-production, it is already in the official development stage.
"It's not in official pre-production, but it's in official development... We're working on it, we're refining the story and the architecture of what we really like. It's very exciting because we've always been able to plan Season 2 and Season 3 as a two-volume story - 12 hours and 12 episodes are very different from six episodes, so we know where the story ends."

Dynamic Story and Continuity
Director Georgi Banks-Davies recently shared an update on The Night Manager, confirming that a third season is already in development.
"A third season was always in the offing. David [Farr] is writing it now — he’s at the coalface and still in the early stages. When the second season came together, the plan was always to make it a trilogy. When you watch the full run, each series can stand alone, but season two very much functions as the middle chapter."
The second and third seasons are designed as a "two-volume story" or "book two in a trilogy," spanning a total of 12 episodes.
Unlike the first season, which adapted John le Carré's novel, the second and third seasons will expand the universe beyond the source material.
Writer David Farr has created new characters and storylines, including those like Teddy, Roxana, and the Colombian setting.
Cast Members Return
Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Jonathan Pine, a secret agent always at the forefront of global intrigue.
Olivia Colman is also confirmed to return in her lead role, adding to the cast's strengths.Hugh Laurie, who previously played Richard Roper, will return as an executive producer.
Richard Roper's character will once again face Pine in the second season and will likely be a key antagonist throughout the series.
Other returning cast members from the first season include Alistair Petrie, Noah Jupe, Douglas Hodge, and Michael Nardone.
Additionally, new cast members introduced in the second season, such as Camila Morrone (Roxana Bolaños), Diego Calva (Teddy Dos Santos), Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi (Basil Karapetian), and Hayley Squires, are also expected to reprise their roles in the third season.

The second season of The Night Manager sees Jonathan Pine return to action, using the aliases Alex Goodwin and Matthew Ellis.
The story centers on Pine's confrontation with his old enemy, Richard Roper, and the emergence of a new enemy, Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos, who turns out to be Roper's son.
The series returns nine years after Jonathan Pine first conned arms dealer Richard Roper in Egypt, leaving him in the hands of Syrian kidnappers.
With Roper believed dead, Pine reappears as Alex Goodwin, a low-ranking MI6 officer.
This fragile new life quickly begins to unravel after Pine spots one of Roper's former colleagues in London, setting off a chain of events that ultimately reveals Roper is still alive and operating under the alias Gilberto Hanson in hiding.
