Kelly Clarkson Announces 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' Ending After Seven Seasons

Kelly Clarkson has officially announced the end of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' after seven successful seasons. What's the reason?

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Kelly Clarkson has officially announced that her daytime talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," will end after its seventh season.

Clarkson made the announcement on Monday, February 2, 2026, via a statement posted to her personal Instagram account.

NBCUniversal, the show's distributor, has also confirmed that "The Kelly Clarkson Show" will end its run after seven accomplished seasons.

While this announcement came as a surprise to many, production for the seventh season will continue as planned, with new episodes scheduled to air through Fall 2026.

Kelly Clarkson also expressed her gratitude to the entire crew, band, guests, and fans who have supported her show over the past seven years, emphasizing that this "is not goodbye."

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at (‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’), both in Los Angeles and New York,” she said in Instagram post.

“There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”

Personal Reasons on Kelly Clarkson's Decision

The decision to end 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' was entirely Kelly Clarkson's personal choice saying that the move was "necessary and right for the next chapter of our lives," in which she wanted to focus more on her role as a mother.

Another factor influencing Kelly Clarkson's priorities was the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, in August 2025 at the age of 48 from cancer.

Before this official announcement, in January 2026, rumors circulated about the show's possible end.

However, Kelly Clarkson's representatives initially denied the rumors, calling them "rumors!" and stating that NBC would provide immediate information if there was a renewal of the show.

Now, the rumors have been officially confirmed by Clarkson herself.

The Journey and Awards of 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'

'The Kelly Clarkson Show' premiered on September 9, 2019, and quickly became one of the most beloved daytime talk shows.

The show is known for its entertaining format, featuring celebrity interviews, segments about "regular people," and, of course, the iconic "Kellyoke" segment.

Over its seven seasons, 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' has earned a resounding 24 Daytime Emmy Awards.

Four of those awards were consecutive wins for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series, and four were for Kelly Clarkson herself as Outstanding Talk Show Host.

In 2023, production of the show moved from Universal City, Los Angeles, to 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan, New York City.

This move was also motivated by Kelly Clarkson's desire to be closer to her family in North Carolina and her passion for Broadway theater.

Kelly Clarkson's Future After the Talk Show

Although "The Kelly Clarkson Show" is coming to an end, Kelly Clarkson has emphasized that this is not the end of her entertainment career.

She plans to continue working in music, performing in various shows, and has not ruled out returning as a judge on "The Voice" from time to time.

As evidence of this plan, Kelly Clarkson is scheduled to return to "The Voice" for its 29th season, titled "Battle of Champions."

The new season is scheduled to premiere on February 23, 2026.
