Netflix Announces Full Cast for Live-Action Series "Scooby-Doo: Origins"

This ambitious project promises a modern reinterpretation that will reveal how the mystery-solving crew first met.

This latest announcement, made in March 2026, completes the core cast, including Maxwell Jenkins as Fred Jones, Tanner Hagen as Norville "Shaggy" Rogers, and Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma Dinkley.

They will join Mckenna Grace, who was previously confirmed to play Daphne Blake in February 2026.

The series, tentatively titled "Scooby Doo: Origins," will consist of eight episodes.

Maxwell Jenkins, known for his roles in popular series like Reacher and Lost in Space, will bring to life the character of Fred Jones.

Meanwhile, the role of Norville "Shaggy" Rogers will be played by Tanner Hagen, who previously appeared in The Pitt.

Production on the "Scooby Doo: Origins" series is expected to begin in late April 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia, and is scheduled to conclude in September 2026.
