In 1991, he moved to Los Angeles and quickly became involved in the burgeoning underground scene, even hosting the iconic "No-Doz" after-hours event.
In 1993, he moved to San Francisco and became a key pillar of the underground dance scene, co-founding the Funky Techno Tribe collective.
DJ Dan is known for his uncanny ability to blend breaks, disco, and funk, creating a distinctive and innovative sound.
His unique style has made him a leading figure in the rave scene, and he often blends Funky Tech House, Techno, and House, with strong influences from disco, jazz, and funk.

In 1996, he collaborated with Jim Hopkins on "Loose Caboose" under the name Electroliners, a song that became one of the defining moments of the breakbeat era.
His song "That Zipper Track" also achieved incredible sales, selling over 100,000 vinyl copies worldwide.
