Eighteen prominent figures from various musical genres will be inducted.
The induction ceremony is scheduled to be recorded on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the magnificent Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California.

In 2026, eight major names will be inducted in this category.
They are Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan.
Phil Collins received his first nomination as a solo artist, although he was previously inducted as a member of Genesis in 2010.
He also received the second-highest number of votes in the 2026 Rock Hall fan vote with 900,825 votes.
Billy Idol, who had previously been nominated, finally made it this year.
Iron Maiden, the legendary British heavy metal band, was finally inducted with their third nomination, after long being considered a "snub" by the Rock Hall.
Members inducted include Clive Burr, Paul Di'Anno, Bruce Dickinson, Janick Gers, Steve Harris, Nicko McBrain, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, and Dennis Stratton.
Joy Division/New Order will be inducted as one group, recognizing the contributions of both new-wave bands.
Oasis is also inducted for their third nomination, following their successful reunion in 2025.
Jazzy R&B group Sade and Luther Vandross, who received their first nomination, will also be enshrined.
Finally, hip-hop icons Wu-Tang Clan also received their first nomination.
Special Awards: Early Influence, Musical Excellence, and Ahmet Ertegun
In addition to the Performer category, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame also presents awards in special categories recognizing various contributions to music.
The Early Influence Award honors artists whose music and performance style directly influenced and inspired the development of rock 'n' roll.
Recipients of this award include Cuban singer Celia Cruz, Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, rapper and actress Queen Latifah, rap pioneer MC Lyte, and country-rock musician Gram Parsons.
The Musical Excellence Award recognizes artists, musicians, songwriters, and producers whose originality and influence have had a dramatic impact on music.
For 2026, this award was presented to Philadelphia soul producer Linda Creed, Atlantic Records producer Arif Mardin, Rolling Stones producer Jimmy Miller, and Def Jam founder Rick Rubin.
The Ahmet Ertegun Award, named after the founder of Atlantic Records, recognizes non-performing industry professionals who have had a significant influence on the creative development and growth of rock 'n' roll.
This year, the award will be given to Ed Sullivan, host of the legendary TV variety show "The Ed Sullivan Show."
