Anticipation and Mysterious Plot
While the release date and main creative team have been announced, story details about the Call of Duty film remain under wraps.
Activision previously surveyed players to determine which sub-franchises they wanted adapted, such as Black Ops, Modern Warfare, Zombies, or a new story.
To date, no casting details have been announced for the Call of Duty film.
The early stages of development mean that casting will likely continue for some time.
Interestingly, previous reports suggested that Activision had turned down an offer from legendary director Steven Spielberg to direct the film.
Spielberg's refusal was due to his desire for full creative control over production, marketing, and the final cut.
