The Mandalorian & Grogu
One of the most anticipated Star Wars projects is "The Mandalorian & Grogu," scheduled for release in the United States on May 22, 2026.
The film is a direct sequel to the hugely popular Disney+ series, "The Mandalorian."
Jon Favreau, director and co-writer, is working with Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor to bring this story to the big screen.
The film will star Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin, The Mandalorian, alongside Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, and Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward.
The story is set after the fall of the Galactic Empire, where Din Djarin and Grogu are recruited by the New Republic to rescue Rotta the Hutt in exchange for vital information.

Star Wars: Starfighter
While not a 2026 release, "Star Wars: Starfighter" is noteworthy for being a significant entry in the Star Wars universe, scheduled for release on May 28, 2027.

Star Wars animation fans will be treated to "Star Wars: Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi," a limited spin-off series slated for release in 2026.
The series follows the episode "The Ninth Jedi" from Volumes 1 and 3 of "Visions," produced by Japanese animation studio Production I.G and written and directed by Kenji Kamiyama.
The story is set a thousand years in the future, a time when the Jedi are nearly extinct and the Sith have returned to power.
The central focus is Kara, the daughter of the last lightsaber maker, on her mission to restore the Jedi Order.

Ahsoka Season 2
The "Ahsoka" series will return for a second season on Disney+ in 2026.

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord Season 2
Following the success of its first season, which premiered on April 6, 2026, the animated series "Maul: Shadow Lord" is currently in development for a second season.
The series, set after the Clone Wars and before "A New Hope," focuses on the former Darth Maul as he attempts to rebuild his criminal empire in the shadow of the Galactic Empire.
Sam Witwer will return as the voice of Maul, bringing depth to this iconic character.
The first season of the Star Wars series consisted of 10 episodes and concluded on May 4, 2026.
