The long-awaited baby was due in January 2026, but the couple chose to keep the special moment private for several months before sharing it publicly in May 2026.

This announcement not only brought personal joy to LaMelo Ball and Ana Montana, but also marked a major milestone for Montana with the launch of the nonprofit organization "I Am Fertility," to provide comprehensive support for women on their fertility journeys and IVF programs.

LaMelo Ball, one of the NBA's most prominent players, and Ana Montana, whose real name is Analicia Chaves, confirmed the happy news exclusively to People magazine on May 10, 2026.

They revealed that their son, LaOne, was born in January 2026.

The unique name "LaOne" is considered in keeping with the Ball family's distinctive naming tradition.

The couple stated that becoming parents has given them a new perspective on love, purpose, legacy, and the things that matter most.

LaOne's birth came to the public after months of secrecy.

Now, with the official announcement, their joy can be shared with fans and the wider public.

Along with the announcement of LaOne's birth, Ana Montana introduced her new platform and nonprofit organization, "I Am Fertility."

This organization is dedicated to supporting women undergoing fertility and IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) treatments.

Montana was inspired to found "I Am Fertility" by her own "emotionally exhausting and isolating" experience undergoing IVF.

"At one point during my IVF journey, I felt overwhelmed, emotional, isolated and unsure where to turn," Chaves told People. "That experience inspired me to create I Am Fertility as a safe space where women don't have to face this journey alone."

This initiative will provide education, emotional support, essential resources, and raise awareness about reproductive health.

As part of its program, "I Am Fertility" will also provide "The HOPE Grant," a $5,000 grant to two women in need of financial assistance for their fertility treatments.

Applications for this grant opened on Mother's Day and will close on June 1st.

LaMelo Ball, now 24, and Ana Montana (Analicia Chaves), 39, have been in a relationship for several years.

Throughout their relationship, the couple has been known to keep much of their private life out of the media spotlight.

However, LaMelo's father, LaVar Ball, hinted at the arrival of his new grandson, La'One, during a podcast appearance in March.

However, neither LaMelo Ball nor Ana Montana had made any official comments at the time.
