Tayler Holder: Country Musician Cancels Tour Due to Mental Health

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Tayler Holder, a 28-year-old country musician, has taking a step back from performing.

As reported by USA Today, he apologized fans for cancelling his upcoming tour named "When No One's Around" as he grapples with his mental health over the past several months "in ways that I can no longer ignore," he said in a May 12 Instagram post.

He called the decision one of the hardest he's ever had to make.

In an Instagram post, the country musician a photo with a simple caption, "I’m sorry 💔"

"I’ve tried for a while now to put my head down and just push through this and give everything I have to the music and the people who support me, but truthfully, I’ve reached my limit right now and I need to take a step back and focus on getting healthy," Holder wrote in the post.

The former TikTok star said he realized fans had made plans and paid money to see him, and wrote that he was"deeply sorry for the disappointment this causes."

He continued: "I’m taking this time to rest, seek support, and reconnect with myself away from the pressure and pace of touring. My hope is that this break will allow me to return stronger, healthier, and able to give you guys the performances you deserve. Thank you for your patience, compassion, and continued support. It means more than you’ll ever know."

Taylor Holder is a country musician and content creator from the north-central Texas town of Alvarado who has been releasing music since 2017, with his debut single, "Who I Am."

He has over 4.5 million followers on Instagram and over 19 million followers on TikTok, where he frequently promotes his music and shares insights into his life as an artist.

The music he performs embraces vulnerability, exploring themes of heartbreak and isolation.

His latest song, "When No One's Around," was released in April and chronicles feeling lost and at a low point in his life at 28 despite believing he would "figure it all out" by 25.

In a TikTok video on April 2, he asked her followers to see the song as a sign to check on their "happy" friends.

The "When No One's Around Tour" includes upcoming stops in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 13 and Kansas City on May 14. He is also scheduled to perform in Atlanta on May 21 and Jacksonville, Florida on May 22.

Holder still had several shows remaining in May, one in June, and one scheduled for November, which have now been canceled.

Fans were shocked by the transparency, and many praised Holder's bold decision to prioritize health over profit.
