Bruno Fernandes officially made history by breaking the all-time record for most assists in a single Premier League season.

He recorded a total of 21 assists in the 2025/26 season, surpassing the previous joint-standing record.

This historic record was broken in the final match of the 2025/26 season, when Manchester United visited Brighton & Hove Albion.

In that match, Fernandes provided the assist for Patrick Dorgu's goal, bringing his assist tally to 21.

Previously, the record for most assists in a single Premier League season was held jointly by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry (2002/03 season) and Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (2019/20 season), who each recorded 20 assists.

Fernandes equaled the 20-assist record during Manchester United's 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest a week before the final match of the season.
