Supernatural: Dynamic Entertainment Announces Sam and Dean's Comic Adventures Will End

Dynamite Entertainment will release the final issue of *Supernatural* #10 on August 26, 2026, concluding Sam and Dean's early adventures.

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Fans of supernatural horror stories are preparing to welcome the end of the first Supernatural comic series published by Dynamite Entertainment.

The tenth and final issue, Supernatural #10, is scheduled to hit shelves on August 26, 2026.

The comic has presented an in-depth canonical adventure, set between the events of the first and second seasons of the original television series, filling in the narrative gaps about Sam and Dean Winchester's early days as supernatural hunters.

Uncovering the Early Adventures of the Winchester Brothers

This ten-part comic series debuted in October 2025, with the main goal of providing a more detailed look at Sam and Dean's initial journey in hunting monsters.

Writer Greg Pak has helmed the narrative, while Eder Messias handled illustrations for the early issues, and Daniel Scalisi took over as artist for the final issue, Supernatural #10.

The main cover for this cover issue was created by John Amor, complemented by a variant cover by David Cousens.

In addition, there is also a cover photo featuring actors Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, who played Dean and Sam Winchester in the iconic television series.

From Classic Ghosts to Unexpected Threats

Throughout the series, the Supernatural comic attempts to capture the essence of the "classic era" and "monster-of-the-week" format that characterized the early years of the television series.

However, recent editions have also begun to deviate from the standard ghost story.

For example, Supernatural #8 features killer robots, while Supernatural #9 features uncontrollable monsters, showing the evolution of the threats facing the Winchester brothers.

The official synopsis from Dynamite Entertainment hints that Sam and Dean will have to face one final enemy—for now—that will set a new course for their future monster adventures.

This approach was deliberately designed to leave opportunities for future stories, a stark contrast to the television series' 2020 ending that some fans found divisive.

Traces of Supernatural Comics in Franchise History

The Supernatural franchise itself is not a newcomer to the world of comics.

Before the Dynamite Entertainment series, DC Comics' Wildstorm published three six-issue miniseries between 2007 and 2010, which focused on the early history of the Winchester family.

Then, the miniseries Supernatural: Caledonia by Brian Wood followed in 2011, and Dynamite itself released Supernatural Valentine's Day Special 2026 earlier this year.

With the release of Supernatural #10, the inaugural comic series will complete Sam and Dean's early adventures.
